Music and Worship Committee

Missions/Goals/Charter

• The Music & Worship Committee consists of six regular members and, ex officio, the Minister and Music Director and meets monthly. The committee's mission includes
• Exploring ways to enrich the First Parish worship experience
• Providing administrative and other requested support for Sunday music and worship, special services, and summer services
• Coordinating and planning the worship calendar for the year including music, sermon topics, and summer lay-led services
• Seeking and responding to congregational sentiments regarding worship and music programs
• Encouraging lay participation in worship services such as sharing personal insights in chalice reflections, and contributing music and readings in lay-led services
• Engaging musicians from the congregation and the community for special music
