Our adult choir provides music for worship services nearly every week. We sing a broad variety of repertoire, ranging from world music and gospel to classics by Bach, Mendelssohn, Handel, and Palestrina. The adult choir rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7:30-9:00 pm, and also at 9 am on Sunday mornings before the worship service. All are welcome to join the choir!
The Bell choir rehearses twice a month on the first and third Sundays from 11:30am-12:30pm. This is an inter-generational group, so anyone is welcome to join. Experience with reading music is helpful, but not required; all are welcome to join this group! We have a three-octave set of Whitechapel bells.
The First Parish children’s choir rehearses weekly on Thursday afternoons from 5:30-6:15 pm, and performs about four times a year during the worship service. The age range is about 8-13, and we sing rounds, hymns and other songs, learn about how to use our singing voices, learn how to read music, and sometimes play instruments as well! This is the newest ensemble at First Parish, and it is specifically open to any children in the community, so we encourage people to spread the word about this musical opportunity.
Third Sunday Concert Series
