Rental of our Building
First Parish is conveniently located in the village center of the seaside town of Cohasset. Our buildings are historic properties dating to the colonial era with the charm of centuries of history combined with the most modern amenities. We are a welcoming community providing an elegant venue for weddings, memorials, bar and bat mitzvah ceremonies, birthday parties, community events and concerts. We will be delighted to work with you to accommodate your needs.
Our Meeting House is the center of worship at First Parish in Cohasset. Built in 1747, this classic New England church offers an intimate and elegant setting for that once in a lifetime event. The Meeting house seats guests on the ground and in the balcony. Its classic architecture, simple but elegant interior finishes, and its ornate 19th century pulpit, it has become a popular location for weddings, as well as serving as a location in a major Hollywood film.
Trueblood Hall, located in our Parish House, is a large function room that can be rented in conjunction with events in our meeting house or separately for functions and meetings. Trueblood hall has the capacity for 100 guests. The room is supported by a fully functioning caterer’s kitchen with two ovens and associated facilities.
Pricing and Arrangements
The current rate for rental of the meeting house is $800 plus a fee of $225 for our event coordinator and $25 for the sexton. Additional fees for our minister and organist/pianist would be required if their services are used.
