Whether from TV shows, movies, books, and video games, stories continue to be as inspiring in 2024 as scriptural stories have been throughout history. How might our favorite stories from these “pop-culture” mediums help us make meaning in our world in the way that conventional scripture does? This morning, through the lens of the 19th century Transcendentalist movement, we will explore how the greatest stories of our day inspire our perception of life.

All are invited to bring in an item to be added to a pop culture theology display in our sanctuary. Items (like a picture, Pop Figure, book, figurine, etcetera) can represent an insight on life that your favorite bit of pop culture inspires. You may pick it up when the service concludes.
