The first worship service of the church year will be Water Communion on Sunday, September 11. Please bring a small amount of water that represents your summer. It could be water from some place you vacationed this summer. It could be rainwater that has helped to end the drought. It could be water from a relative’s house that you were able to visit for the first time after the pandemic.

During the Water Communion service, we’ll each pour a small amount of water into a communal bowl. This symbolizes how we come together, each bringing our separate lives to our First Parish community.

If you forget to bring water on September 11, don’t worry. We’ll have water that you can pour into the communal bowl that will symbolize the water you forgot to bring.
