Welcome to New Members
Originally from California, Karen Sikola was first introduced to First Parish by her friend (and soon-to-be mother-in-law) Joan Kovach.
She’s now involved in Circle Ministry and the choir. An editor and teacher by trade, Karen also enjoys writing and running. She lives in Hull with her fiance, Steve, and their dog, Rilo.
The George Family
The George family was thrilled to make the move to Cohasset from Worcester County last year, and have been busy meeting neighbors, making new friends and getting introduced to all the amenities and activities that the town and environs offer. Steve originally hails from West Roxbury and Susan is a native Virginian. We met at DEC 30 years ago, and both of us have have enjoyed long careers in high tech (happily with an end in sight). Isabel is a senior at the Pilgrim Area Collaborative at Duxbury High; she participates in the Launch Program (you may see her working at the Farmers’ Market on Thursday afternoons), and is an enthusiastic rock & roll drummer. Since moving to town, we’ve become avid sailors through the Sailing Club, and have been working hard to bring Pickleball to Cohasset. We look forward to participating in the events that the First Parish will be sponsoring this year – please count on us to support the Property and Garden Committees!
Say hello to Rue if you see her on Sunday. She is happy to finally become a member of First Parish, having attended on and off since moving to Cohasset back in 2000.
Welcome to the Sheerin Family – Paul, Alison, McKenna and Will. The Sheerin family started attending First Parish this past Fall after seeking religious education programs for their children, McKenna, 6 1/2, and Will, 4 1/2. Paul grew up in Cohasset. Both Paul and Allison have real estate businesses in Cohasset and along the South Shore. The Sheerins enjoy boating, golf and tennis and are members of the Cohasset Yacht Club and Hatherly Country Club. They currently reside in Minot. Please join us in welcoming Dana Eagles and Gwyned Trefethen to First Parish. Gwyned and Dana have been married for 43 years, lived 34 of those years in Sherborn, MA, followed by an 8 year stint in Appleton, WI. They moved to Cohasset shortly after Dana’s retirement in December 2017. They have two children, both married, who have gifted them with 5 grandchildren. The picture below was taken with Uluru (previously known as Ayers Rock) peeking in the distance.
We also are happy to welcome Karen Sikola, Mary Toropov, Sara and Noah Stuart and family, Amanda and Chris Zani and family, and Christine and Bob Allen.
