Death Cafe

Join us for coffee (byo), cake (provided) and conversation (ample) at our first ever Death Cafe at First Parish.  This is an opportunity for participants to reflect upon and share what they think is important.  Individuals can discuss their understanding, thoughts, dreams, fears and all other areas of death and dying. It is a discussion group offered in an open, respectful, and confidential space, with no intention of leading people to any conclusion, product, or course of action. The aim is “to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives”.  Death Café works for people who are able to discuss death comfortably and openly. It is not intended as an opportunity to provide information about death and dying. It is not a bereavement support group or a grief counseling session.
