Readers Wanted

Have you always longed to read from the high pulpit in the Meetinghouse? Here is the perfect opportunity. The 9:00 a.m. summer service at First Parish on Sunday, July 5, 2026, will include a reading of the Declaration of Independence, delivered by volunteers from the congregation. Email Patty in the office (admin@firstparishcohasset.org) if you would like to read a section. Readings are on a “first reply received, first assigned” basis, so express your interest quickly

Reading requests must be received by noon on Monday, June 29. Readers will be notified of their sections no later than Tuesday, June 30.  

The full text of the Declaration of Independence will be provided for your assigned section.
