What is Care Circle?
What is the Care Circle?? YOU are! Care Circle is all of us at First Parish caring about and for all of us at First Parish. Each month a different person gets “the book” which contains all the information one needs to be a Care Circle monthly coordinator. If a parishioner or the minister knows of someone in First Parish who could use a little help, they should tell the coordinator of that month. Depending on the issue, cards can be sent, dinners arranged, a friendly visit, etc. The coordinator can choose to do those things, i.e. make a dinner, or he/she can call anyone else in the parish to see if they would like to help. No one needs to do it alone.
Of course friends can help friends, but the Care Circle should be notified to make sure the one in need is being helped, and if there’s anything Care Circle can do.
Every year we need 12 volunteers to be monthly coordinators. Monthly coordinators can always contact previous coordinators if they have questions, plus “the book” contains monthly lists of what was done, if anything, that month. Please consider volunteering to be a monthly coordinator. At present we need help in July, and August '26.
