Through our involvement with local agency, Sunflower for Peace, First Parish sponsored an ambulance and medical back-packs for the people of Ukraine. Allowing us to name the vehicle, we took suggestions from the congregation and chose, “Sunflower Power!”  While it may look like a regular car, that’s done with intention. It helps to keep the ambulance safe from attack. A van is purchased and then fitted out with bullet proofing and medical equipment. The generosity of our members, united in a common goal to help, made this project a reality.

Below are pictures showing the inside of the back area of the ambulance stocked with the two medical backpacks that we donated, three of the Ukrainians who helped get the ambulance up and running, and the picture of the flag being sent to us. It is signed with a thank you from the medics who will be using this ambulance.
