This year First Parish is holding a Chocolate Auction just in time for Valentine’s Day! Please join us during coffee hour on Sunday, February 11, at 11:00 am in Trueblood Hall. This event is for everyone!  *****PLEASE NOTE:  The Parish House is a peanut and tree-nut free environment.  All items being shared on premise must be nut-free!

– We will serve cookies and brownies, along with coffee and hot chocolate.
– There will be a table to show off the kids’ baking creations. The only rule is the baked good must contain some type of chocolate or white chocolate. All kids who participate will receive a prize. We will not be eating the children’s creations so they can bring them home again!
– There will be a cupcake decorating station where kids and adults can create the cupcake of their dreams and either eat it there or bring it home.
– The auction is a live auction of chocolate based baked goods or foods and items that relate to chocolate or have some chocolate attached. For instance, we will be auctioning off a pan of chicken molé enchiladas and fresh salsa made by Dan Volungis, a chocolate chocolate-chip cake with marshmallow frosting, a plate of chocolates from Kilwins, a hot cocoa bar tray, an ice cream bar tray, and a blanket that looks like a chocolate bar. We need more donations to make this a super fun event!
– If you are a baker or a chef, this is your chance to show off your skills and donate a baked good for the auction. Ideas for donations: jars of homemade hot fudge, cakes, cookies, brownies, pies, fudge and maybe even chili or some other savory item with a hint of chocolate.
– If you aren’t a baker, you can donate other items: gift baskets, a box of chocolates, tickets to a game, anything chocolate related!
– Donations can be dropped off at Trueblood Hall around 9:00 am that morning.
