For the months of July through October, the Outreach share of our plate collection will be used to support a First Parish team going to help pack food for End Hunger New England. End Hunger New England is part of a group called the Outreach Program, which is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation that organizes food packaging events around the country. With more than 675 million meals packaged to date, the organization’s mission is to provide safe water, food, medical care, and education to those in need, at home and abroad. End Hunger NE provides food to shelters and food pantries throughout New England and in the Ukraine. End Hunger NE is located in Pembroke, MA, and holds food packing events where volunteers come to the facility to package dried meals.
