On september 30, 2018, the Reverend Robert W. McKetchnie, who we have all come to know as Reverend Bob, was installed as the 20th settled minister at First Parish in Cohasset, in a line of ministers that stretches back almost 300 years to the founding of First Parish in 1721.
The Meeting House was filled to capacity with representatives of the clergy, members of the congregation, and the many family and friends who came to help us celebrate this joyous event. The First Parish Choir, under the direction of Luca Antonucci, provided inspiring music and many members of the clergy participated in the service. They included the Reverend Anita Farber-Robertson, a former interim minister at First Parish, who returned to offer the Charge to the Minister and the Reverend Ken Read-Brown, of First Parish Hingham (Old Ship), who presented the Charge to the Congregation.
After the service a celebratory reception was held in Trueblood Hall in the Parish House.
