Dear Cohasset Friends & Clergy,

I am writing on behalf of the Cohasset Rotary to update you on the plans for the 47th Annual Cohasset Road Race by the Sea.

The race will take place on Sunday, April 7th with a 1 pm start. I encourage you to visit the Road Race website for more information, including information on the race:  https://cohassetrotary.org

As in past years, the South Shore Community Center will be the hub for bib pick-up and the race starts and finishes on North Main Street along the Common. Our volunteers are committed to minimizing the impact of the race on the residents, churches and businesses and we have been working closely with public safety on race planning to ensure a safe and enjoyable race for participants and the community.  The Rotary will be putting out no parking signs throughout the course roads early on Sunday morning, although parking will not be restricted on North Main until 12:30 pm in advance of the start of the race at 1 p.m.

The Fran Coffey Memorial Fun Walk begins earlier on Sunday at 10 am.

For more than 70 years, the Cohasset Rotary has contributed thousands of hours of community service, provided more than $500,000 in scholarships to Cohasset High graduates and has supported local and regional non-profits including Fr. Bill’s Place and the renovation of Boy Scout Camp Squanto, as well as humanitarian projects throughout the world.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions. We are grateful for the tremendous support given to the Rotary and the Road Race by the Sea by the community and will continue to uphold our commitment of Service Above Self.

Best regards,

Lorraine Tarpay
