Partakers is an organization that advances the education of women and men in prison and bridges the divide that separates those inside and outside of prison. Through its “College Behind Bars” mentoring program, people in prison enhance skills critical to completing a college degree and build trusting personal relationships. Both activities significantly increase prisoners’ chances for success when returning to the community. Learn more about Partakers on their website.

Cohasset’s Paul Pratt Library is coordinating an “All Town Read” leading up to the January 16 event. At the library, you can borrow copies of The Master Plan: My Journey from Life in Prison to a Life of Purpose, by Chris Wilson (G. P. Putnam, 2019). You can order this book for purchase through local bookstore Buttonwood Books and Toys.
