Speaker: Rev. Robert McKetchnie

Building on a Strong Foundation

We have built a strong foundation for carrying this church forward. Let us reflect today on what we need to do to keep our momentum and realize the full potential of First Parish. Simply stated, we know it to be a place of welcome and we know that others need such a place.

Claiming the Right to Question

Many of us grew up learning to equate faith with doctrine. Today’s sermon explores the concept of faith as an inner quality that unfolds as we learn to trust our own deepest experience and frees us to claim the right to question.

Keep It Simple Cupid

Today’s sermon will explore the intention and reflection necessary by each of us when we reach out to others in love, romantically or otherwise.

Why They Come

Today’s sermon will take a sobering look at the crisis playing out in the Somoran Desert, between Mexico and Arizona.  There is confusing, hurtful and “sensational untruths” within the rhetoric associated with the topic of immigration.  The rhetoric has become so politicized that we have lost sight of the preventable human tragedy that exists.
