What a perfect way to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend – come listen to the wonderful voices of the Morning Star Baptist Church Choir raised in joyous song!

Mattapan’s Morning Star Baptist Church Adult Choir, under the direction of Michael Bradley, will perform at First Parish Church on Sunday January 19, at 4pm.  The choir has sung at First Parish in the past during the Arts Festival Weekend, and we welcome them this year for this winter Sunday afternoon concert, made possible by a grant from the Cohasset Arts Council and the Mass. Cultural Council and co sponsored by First Parish and the Unity Committee. Donations are also welcome at the door. A contribution basket will be in the vestibule of the Meeting House during and after the concert. 

Did you know that M.L.K. Jr. did his doctoral studies at B.U. and met Coretta Scott here in Boston while she was studying at the New England Conservatory of Music?   

This is a free concert, with a donation basket at the door. Special contributions ahead of time to help sponsor the event will be gratefully accepted and listed in the program; just give a check to our Admin Office, or drop it in the Sunday offering plate, with “Morning Star” clearly noted in the memo line.
